TELLURIDE’S
Brown Ranch
The Historic Brown Ranch ... originally a family owned working
cattle ranch pioneered in the late 1800's on one of Telluride’s
most scenic Mesa tops….
Located on the corner of Highway 62 and Carstens Ranch Road (48X),
(you will see a historic red log cabin still in use today). Above
the cabin are the remnants of Telluride's famous “Gold Ore”
railroad going from Telluride to Durango and Silverton. The railway
ran along the eastern boundary of Brown Ranch and a dusty stagecoach
trail cut through the property in the other direction.
THE 77 acre “LUPINE RANCH”:
This 77 acre parcel has many secluded home sites with 100-foot ponderosa
pines and substantial groves of mature thick aspen trees. The views
are to the South of Little Cone and Lone Cone peaks as well as Horsefly
ridge to the North.
Located atop Iron Springs Mesa in San Miguel County, 21 miles
Southwest of Telluride (of which 17 miles are paved highway). Brown
Ranch is home to herds of elk, deer and abundance of wildlife. There
are currently about 35 memberships/Ranches in the famous BROWN RANCH
area, they range from 75 acres to over 1,000 including the famous
Hannah Ranch with over 1,150 acres.
This parcel is a true value compared with other listings due to
its size and usability, as all of the 77 acres are rolling and flat.
The ranch has numerous meadows, as well as a tremendous amount of
Aspen trees.
The well is already in place, and is a producer….
